World-renowned DJ and producer Burak Yeter has officially received two Guinness World Record certificates, marking an unprecedented milestone in music history. Holding the titles for Highest Altitude Live DJ Performance and Highest Altitude Guitar Performance, Yeter’s achievements were set at an extraordinary altitude of approximately 55,000 feet in the Earth’s stratosphere.

The records were earned during his ambitious “One Day in Space” project, in which he delivered a live DJ set and a guitar performance from a specially designed capsule carried by a stratospheric balloon. This groundbreaking mission not only pushed the boundaries of live music but also showcased the fusion of art, technology, and adventure on a global scale.

Pictured proudly holding both Guinness certificates, Yeter celebrates the realization of a dream years in the making — one that will remain a defining moment in his career and in the history of music performance.

Behind the Record: The Story of “One Day in Space”

The journey to the stratosphere was neither quick nor easy. The concept for “One Day in Space” had been on the drawing board for over two years, fueled by Burak Yeter’s lifelong passion for both music and aviation. Inspired by the idea of taking music to places it had never been before, Yeter and his team worked tirelessly to turn a daring vision into reality.

The mission required complex engineering to design and prepare a pressurized capsule capable of housing DJ equipment and a guitar at extreme altitudes. Every detail — from power supply systems to oxygen levels — had to be perfected to withstand the thin air and freezing temperatures above 16,000 meters.

What began as an artist’s dream evolved into a large-scale collaboration between engineers, aviation specialists, and production crews. The launch site near Barcelona, Spain, was carefully chosen for its favorable conditions for stratospheric flights. On the day of the mission, a weather balloon lifted the custom-built capsule skyward, with Yeter inside, ready to perform.

During the ascent, he first took to the decks for his record-setting Highest Altitude Live DJ Performance, delivering a full set to an audience watching via livestream from around the world. Then, in a moment blending technical precision with artistic flair, he picked up a guitar to claim the second Guinness title — Highest Altitude Guitar Performance.

For Yeter, these achievements were more than personal accolades; they were the fulfillment of a vision to push creative boundaries and inspire others to dream without limits. “This was not just about breaking records — it was about showing that music can truly reach beyond the Earth,” he reflected.
